Week 1 of SAC Challenge 2016.
An interesting challenge posited by Murray Daigle – write a song using only 2 chords or a single riff. Concentrate on the creation of hooks and melodies.
This song started with the lyrics (inspired by a walk on Wasaga Beach) and had three distinct sections – verses (ABBA rhyme scheme), chorus and bridge. Each section needed a separate melodic treatment.
This is still a work in progress, but we learned new things.
My talented co-writer put the finishing touches on the song and performed it better than I can :-).
